Israeli folk dance / Hebrew: ריקודי עם, rikudei 'am, lit. "Folk dances" / (Rikudim) are uplifting and energizing circle and line choreographed dances set to traditional Israel music. These dance gatherings, sometimes planned and sometimes impromptu, came about as a way of building a cultural bond in Israel.

Israeli dance can be experienced from the streets of Tel Aviv to gatherings all over the world. To carry on this vibrant Jewish cultural tradition and strengthen community and belonging, Machol Houston was formed.
